T. rex: Skeleton Crew American Museum of Natural History, T. rex: The Ultimate Predator Exhibition March 11, 2019 – March 14, 2021, New York Role: Executive Producer, HTC VIVE Arts T. rex: Skeleton Crew is the first interactive, multiplayer virtual-reality experience presented by the American Museum of Natural History, in collaboration with HTC VIVE Arts. The experience is part of T: rex: The Ultimate Predator, a major exhibition in celebration of the museum’s 150th anniversary. The three- player VR experience transports visitors to the American Museum of Natural History’s Hall of Saurischian Dinosaurs, where they are invited to build a T. rex skeleton bone by bone in a team. Informed by Museum specimens and the latest research, this virtual skeleton is the most accurate 3D model of a T. rex skeleton to-date. Once complete, the legendary dinosaur comes to life, and visitors are transported to Hells Creek Montana – the T. rex’s home, 66 million years ago. To create T. rex: Skeleton Crew, the American Museum of Natural History’s science visualization team worked closely with scientists, ensuring details including the dinosaur’s anatomy and movement accurately reflect the latest research.
