The exhibition presents over 300 objects across a wide range of mediums, including creations by Salvador Dalí, The Beatles, Little Simz, and fashion designers Thom Browne, Iris van Herpen, and Viktor & Rolf. Visitors delve into the origins of Alice’s story, its adaptations and reinventions over the last 158 years, making it the global phenomenon beloved by all ages today. The VR experience Curious Alice takes visitors into a fantastic world illustrated by artist Kristjana S. Williams as they follow their own personal White Rabbit companion, attempt to find missing objects, solve the Caterpillar's mind-bending riddles, visit the Queen of Hearts’ croquet garden, and experience more classic moments from this legendary tale. VR, as an immersive and interactive storytelling tool, is very powerful, and when executed well, the experience can be incredibly emotional. This piece allows the audience to experience Alice's world from a first-person point of view, with a heightened sense of wonder, agency, and emotional resonance.
